Alexis Zinn is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in helping preschool and elementary-aged children to improve the clarity of their speech. Her primary areas of practice include diagnosis and treatment of speech sound disorders including CAS (apraxia) and dysarthria, phonological disorders, and articulation delays. Alexis especially loves helping children who are shy or anxious about their speech. Her approach is centered on building a child's skills while nurturing their confidence.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Alexis obtained her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010, and quickly discovered her passion for working with young children. Since then, she has completed advanced trainings and certifications across North America. She is trained in gold-standard approaches including DTTC, ReST, and the Nuffield program, as well as a wide range of phonological interventions.
Building genuine, playful connections with children is at the heart of her practice, and she believes trust is the foundation for helping kids to take brave steps forward.
