Rachel Walpert Fairbrother, M.Ed., R. Psych.

Rachel is a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting adults and teens in community, educational, and private practice settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa and specializes in developmental and complex trauma.

Rachel’s areas of interest include co-dependency and attachment, communication and boundaries, emotional dysregulation, addiction and personality disorders. Additionally, she enjoys supporting new parents through the transition from pregnancy to postpartum and parenthood, and how their own family experiences and attachment may influence their parenting. With training in Circle of Security Parenting, she helps caregivers understand their children's emotional needs and build secure relationships. Rachel also has a strong interest in Indigenous healing and reconciliation and is a registered First Nations Non-Insured Health Benefit (NIHB) provider.

Her approach is client-centered and humanistic, rooted in attachment theory and trauma-informed care. Rachel views clients as the experts of their own lived experiences and encourages exploring different perspectives while also listening to their own intuition in therapy.

Outside of her work Rachel is a mother to three young children and a much-loved fur baby.
