Jessica Carr, B.A., B.Ed., M.Ed., CCC
Jessica is an academic intervention specialist, with experience teaching in both regular and special needs classrooms in the public school system. With her background in teaching diverse learners with complex needs, Jessica recognizes the obstacles that many students face when attempting to meet expected learning and behavior goals in a classroom setting.
Jessica aims to bridge this gap by tailoring instructional methods to foster literacy success for all learners and working alongside families to spark both enthusiasm and success in learning. Her counselling experience further enriches Jessica’s ability to address the holistic needs of students, creating a safe and supportive space for learning.
Jessica currently works as a teacher counsellor at Joey Moss School where she is passionate about empowering students through evidence-based mental health and academic practices. Jessica is Level B Assessment certified and incorporates the evidence-based practices of psychology, linguistics, neuroscience and education into intervention.
